SHANE OWEN NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK IN THE QMJHL
Congratulations to Moncton Wildcats goaltender, Shane Owen, who as been named the Defensive Player of the Week in the QMJHL for the week ending on March 7th.

Shane Owen earns the defensive award after winning two games while posting a 1.44 goals-against-average and .941 save percentage. Owen also recorded a shutout by pushing away fourteen shots in a 2-0 win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at Centre 200 last Tuesday.

Owen has been outstanding this season posting a 13 - 3 record with a 2,19 goal against average and a .921 save percentage.

Since arriving with the Wildcats in early December, Shane as been working on a daily basis with Moncton Wildcats Goaltending Coach and Pro Tek Owner, Frantz Jean.

MEAGAN BLACQUIERE HEADED TO THE ATLANTIC MIDGET AAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Meagan Blacquiere Protek student used the March Mini-Camps to fine tune for the Atlantic Championships.

Meagan, goaltender with the Moncton Ricoh Rockets is off to the Atlantic Midget AAA Championships in Gander Nfld. March 18-22. The Moncton team recently won the provincial championships where Meagan and her goaltending partner allowed 3 goals in 3 games. Meagan will attend university in the fall and has hopes of cracking a university line up.

NICOLA RIOPEL RECORDS THE 3RD LONGEST SHUTOUT STREAK IN QMJHL HISTORY
Congratulations to Moncton Wildcats goaltender, Nicola Riopel, who recorded this week the 2nd longuest shutout streak in QMJHL History.

Nicola as reached this impressive milestone by not giving up a goal for 179 min. and 59 seconds.

Rio is working on a daily basis with Moncton Wildcats Goaltending Coach and Pro Tek Owner, Frantz Jean. Rio is also a Pro Tek Hockey Instructor during Pro Tek's summer camps.

KIM ST-PIERRE WINS OLYMPIC GOAL
Congratulation to Team Canada goaltender, Kim St-Pierre, for winning the goal medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Kim as been part of the National Womens program for the past 10 years. During the Vancouver Olympics, Kim played two games for Team Canada.

St-Pierre took part in Pro Tek Hockey 2008 Pro Camp held in Moncton, NB. She also worked in the past with Pro Tek Senior Consultant and former Montreal Canadiens Goaltending Coach, Roland Melanson.
